About Us:
We are seeking a talented Health Insurance Underwriter to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and managing risks associated with insurance policies to ensure our company's profitability and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess applications for health insurance coverage by thoroughly evaluating medical records, financial status, and other pertinent information.
- Determine appropriate premiums and coverage limits based on risk assessment.
- Develop and implement underwriting guidelines and policies to maintain consistency and efficiency.
- Collaborate with actuaries to analyze statistical data and establish competitive premium rates.
- Ensure adherence to state and federal insurance regulations in all underwriting activities.
- Effectively communicate underwriting decisions to agents, brokers, and policyholders.
- Review and update existing policies to reflect changes in risk factors or regulatory requirements.
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to innovate and enhance our insurance product offerings.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior underwriters and support staff.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Health Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in underwriting, preferably within the health insurance sector.
- Strong analytical prowess and sound decision-making skills.
- Deep understanding of health insurance regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in underwriting software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities.
