Summary

Nellie's Treehouse is looking for Assistant/Associate teachers to work 10:30am to 6:00pm. This position will include covering staff lunch breaks, planning and educational breaks. Individuals will be assigned to a specific class when morning staff are done their shifts. The ability to work as a team. Evening cleaning and communicating with parents is also part of the positions.

Duties

Cleaning
Changing diapers and assisting with pottying
Communication with parents
Assist with the care and supervision of young children
Maintain a fun and safe classroom environment.
Follow daily schedule and routines
Keep timely log ins on Brightwheel
Assist in other capacities as needed

Requirements

A minimum of 9 credits in ECE a plus although willing to train the right person
Experience a plus
Willing to meet all required state regulations, meet all expectations and professional development.
Must have CPR/First Aid or willing to attain
Able to pass state and FBI background check
Able to lift 30-40 pounds

About Us

Nellie's Treehouse is a family-owned and operated child care/early learning center located on Route 101A in Amherst, NH. The program opened in 2000, serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years and has a licensed capacity of 69 students. Nellie's provides 5,000 square feet of indoor classroom spaces and sits on an acre of land.

The goal of the school is to ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times and to encourage successful social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth and development throughout the early years. We acknowledge the importance of authentic partnerships with families as they are their child's first teachers. We recognize each child as an individual and utilize developmentally appropriate, play based curriculum to promote independence and foster creativity.

The center is open from 6:00am to 7:00pm and has an open door policy. Infants and Ones are provided diapers, wipes, spring water and whole milk. Twos, Preschool, Pre-k and K are provided breakfast, lunches and 3 snacks.
