M.S. Walker has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Merchandising Assistant ! This position offers an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in learning the wine and spirts industry, while getting excellent exposure to sales, operations and client relationship management. If you're a strong communicator, have incredible worth ethic, and would rather be moving than sitting behind a desk - this might be the job for you.

Responsibilities:

• Regularly travel to meet with list of accounts in territory to determine possible and/or scheduled merchandising needs
• Meet delivery trucks of customer accounts to assist in unloading of the product
• Stock shelves with received M.S Walker products
• Maximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately
• Place proper point of sale materials on merchandise items in-store
• Originate display ideas or follow suggestions or schedule of Corporate Merchandising Director
• Construct or assemble prefabricated display properties from wood, fabric, glass, paper, and plastic
• Report to management regarding inventory levels, marketing and sales trends, and customer feedback
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

What You Bring to the Role:

• Outstanding communication skills
• Motivation, independence, and eagerness to learn
• Demonstrated strong decision-making, customer service and relationship management skills
• Experience with retail operations and visual displays preferred
• Knowledge of wine and spirits helpful
• Ability to lift and move product of up to 45lbs regularly
• Minimum of High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• Frequent driving within assigned territory required
