Briefly describe the position responsibilities:

This is a part-time position to maintain the office working environment and building maintenance needs. Perform duties with a hospitality mindset for employees and visitors. Participate with company leadership and with the Lift the Spirit team to create a work environment that lifts the spirit of DEMDACO employees and those who visit the building.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (additional duties may be assigned)

  • Maintain office working environment and building maintenance needs
  • Perform duties with a hospitality mindset for employees and visitors
  • Collaborate with company leadership and Lift the Spirit team to create a positive work environment
  • Daily building inspections and repair coordination
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of workspaces and public areas
  • Manage break room facilities
  • Assist with company events and office moves
  • Oversee mailroom operations and office supplies
  • Assist with Facilities Department budget planning
  • Review and approve Facilities related invoices
  • Participate in Lift the Spirit team activities
  • Manage vendor relationships and building maintenance contracts
  • Utilize PropertyTRAK software for work orders and maintenance tasks
  • Attend regular staff meetings with supervisor

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

 

Education/Experience:

  • At least 2 years of Office and Facilities Management or related experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency
  • Highly organized
  • Strong common sense and acute reliability
  • Ability to work with different levels of personnel within the company
  • Ability to communicate and work well with company vendors
  • Understanding of building maintenance requirements
  • Understanding of building mechanicals and structures
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Physical Demands:

Some lifting and carrying of catalogs, samples, computer equipment for day-to-day sales call activity, on multiple occasions throughout the workday. Occasionally required to move or set up for meetings or show displays including but not limited to furniture and display pieces. Travel in the field for customer visits, to trade shows and markets, or for other sales activity or meetings.
