Lighthouse Lab Services has partnered with a large healthcare network that is expanding and we are looking for a Lab Assistant IV to join their efforts.

Job Summary:

The Lab Assistant IV is responsible for accessing patient sample information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), accurately according to received requisitions. Able to assist in troubleshooting issues with patient samples and effectively communicate internally and externally.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:  

• Review all information is accurate and meets company and regulatory standards.
• Accepts deliveries from couriers.
• Accession patient sample information and physician test orders according to requisitions, accurately.
• Verify required information, per HIPPA/CAP/CLIA, is obtained on all orders.
• Identify missing information and execute proper route when missing information is identified.
• Scan patient requisitions for medical records.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Responsible for adherence to annual safety, compliance and HIPPA training.
• Cross training in Analytical Operations if education requirements allow.

Qualifications:  

Education: 

• B.S. Degree of equivalent, preferred.
• Some college coursework in healthcare administration, business, science or laboratory related education, preferred.

Competencies/Skills:  

• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information.
• Ability to work independently.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to accommodate various learning styles 

Experience:

• 1-year prior experience working in Hematology, Coagulation, Routine Chemistry, and Immunoassay.
• Experience working with MS Office Suite required.

Certifications/Licenses:  

• Must obtain site specific certification if applicable.

Salary: 

• $19.00 - $25.00/hour
