Job Description

Are you passionate about crafting clear and comprehensive health insurance policies? We're seeking a talented Health Insurance Policy Writer to join our team. In this role, you'll draft and review health insurance policies, ensuring they are precise, compliant, and easy to understand. You'll work closely with a dynamic team of underwriters, actuaries, legal experts, and product managers to create documents that meet regulatory standards and reflect our commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft and refine health insurance policy documents, including terms, conditions, coverage limits, and exclusions.
- Collaborate with underwriters, actuaries, legal teams, and product managers to gather and verify essential information.
- Ensure policy language is clear, precise, and legally compliant.
- Update policy documents to incorporate changes in regulations, company policies, or market conditions.
- Stay informed about market trends and evolving product demands.
- Assist in developing new health insurance products by creating initial policy drafts.
- Review and edit policy documents to ensure consistency and clarity.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health insurance regulations and industry standards.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to understand policy requirements and address any concerns.
- Support internal and external audits of policy documents.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Health Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in technical writing, legal writing, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of health insurance products and terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience as a Policy Writer or Underwriter.
- Familiarity with international health insurance plans (IPMI or PPO) and ACA requirements is preferred.
- Experience in analyzing risks to develop applicable benefits.
