Come make natural wine in the Willamette Valley! Harvest Cellar-hands will assist in the vinification tasks of harvest from early to mid-September through in or around mid-November. This is a temporary position that will conclude once harvest activities end.

The Marigny is a small winery in the Willamette Valley that’s focused on making what some folks call natural wine. Others call it “real wine” or low intervention wine. We like to think of them as Modern Table Wines. For us, these are wines without pretense, meant to be enjoyed anytime, anywhere. Work with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Aligoté, Riesling, Merlot and more!

At The Marigny we also make wine with our friend Chef Molly Baz for our project Drink This Wine, as well as our winemaker's personal project, St. Reginald Parish. There will be a wide variety of styles and fermentation methods to learn from and take part in during the harvest season.

Responsibilities/Duties:
> Cleaning of equipment, tanks, and facilities
> Assist in receiving fruit, processing, sorting, destemming, etc.
> Pump-overs, dig outs, pressing of tanks
> General lab work
> Safe operation of forklift including stacking barrels and dumping picking bins into tanks/press (for those applying with previous experience)
> Barrel preparation, filling, topping, and racking
> Following cellar SOPs and maintaining winery standards
> Fermentation management and notetaking
> Other duties assigned by the winemaker

Requirements:
> Full-time availability including early mornings, late nights, and weekends during the harvest season
> Punctual, reliable, and organized
> Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
> Comfortable working on ladders
> Physical stamina to work multiple long days in hot, cold, and wet conditions
> Initiative to ask questions and bring a positive attitude when completing daily tasks
> Interns are required to find their own housing, as well as transportation, however we are willing to assist in making connections as we can
> Must be a team player with a positive attitude

Compensation: Starting pay is $19 per hour + overtime. Pay will scale higher for those with previous experience, so please apply no matter where you are in your journey
