We are looking for a Director of Human Resources to play a key role in furthering our mission throughout our company.
Summary/Objective: The Director of Human Resources provides leadership and guidance to the organization’s HR operations and ensures strategic alignment with organizational goals. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resource policies and procedures. The Director of Human Resources also oversees the organizational culture, employee engagement, best practices and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals.
Skills and Knowledge: Experience in employee relations. Excellent verbal, written communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Knowledge of employment related laws and regulations. Experience in mentoring, motivating, and developing staff. Experience using HRIS systems.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, management, or business administration. SHRM or PHR certification preferred. Five years or more experience in a leadership capacity. Human Resources, talent management and/or business experience.
Essential Functions: - Oversee, manage, and administer all daily workflows and functions of the Human Resources department.
- Develop comprehensive talent acquisition and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of the organization and oversee the recruitment, screening, and hiring of new staff.
- Develop ongoing strategy for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion that meets and incorporates agency diversity goals and regulatory requirements.
- Understand and provide leadership with employer branding and recruitment marketing strategies.
- Lead the Human Resources Team in effective utilization of HRIS, ATS, LMS, and ERP software applications.
- Measure and provide reporting on key performance indicators for human resources and talent management functions; assess the organizational success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
- Oversee and manage the maintenance of required statistical reporting and ensure the timely and accurate submission to regulatory agencies as required (KDADS, CARF, ISO, etc.)
- Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, compensation analysis, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
- Provide guidance and leadership to managers and assist with resolution of employment related concerns and issues.
- Respond to and counsel managers in areas of employee disciplinary action and employee performance in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and oversee all Human Resources investigations and make recommendations to management for actions to be taken.
- Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
- Ensure organizational compliance with employment and benefits laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Develop and implement Human Resources policies and procedures to mitigate risk and maintain legal compliance.
- Develop tools for, and assist departmental leaders with succession planning.
- Coordinate representation and/or response to legal requests and/or hearings.
- Serve as Corporate Compliance Officer, maintaining an effective program of compliance with laws and regulations related to human resources.
- Serve as EEO Coordinator and coordinates EEO Reporting.
