Job Description

Data Governance Analyst:

1. Perform data profiling and database structure research in order to understand relevant data elements along with their definitions and use.
2. Participate in data governance policy creation, management, and analyzing potential impacts of policy choices under consideration
3. Demonstrate the ability to translate business issues and requirements into actionable plans, and to deliver against those plans
4. Execute data governance activities and initiatives in alignment with the Data Governance Program.
5. Collaborate with team members to improve data governance policies, standards, processes, and documentation.
6. Partner with data stewards and other subject matter experts to ingest, classify and categorize metadata
7. Partner with developers to document data lineage and data dictionaries for data assets.
8. Monitor and assess data quality across various systems, identifying discrepancies and implementing measures to improve and maintain data accuracy.
9. Generate reports on data quality, compliance, and the effectiveness of data governance processes.
10. Perform audits of glossary and metadata/catalog content and data governance processes.
11. Communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
12. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the data governance program's performance.
13. Ensure that data management practices comply with data governance regulations
14. Identify flaws or inconsistencies in data management processes that could impact data integrity.
15. Create reports and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
16. Follow data cleansing processes to ensure newly created records, as well as historical data remains accurate.

MUST HAVE SKILLS

1. Should have excellent spoken and written communication skills.
2. Analyzing and problem-solving skills, strong knowledge of SQL and data warehousing
3. Exposure and experience in Data Governance related assignments
