Job Description

Power & Construction Group, Inc. is currently seeking a dynamic Laborer/Carpenter to join our Civil Division. This role involves extensive travel, Monday through Friday, home on the weekends. Compensation ranges from $22 to $28 per hour, supplemented with a daily per diem of $45. As a Laborer/Carpenter, you will contribute to new facility construction, facility expansions, structural concrete work, and rigging projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and construction of forms.
• Set up forms for concrete pouring.
• Pour and reinforce concrete using re-bar.
• Spread and smooth concrete surfaces.
• Mold expansion joints and edges.
• Apply waterproofing and sealant to protect concrete work.

Requirements and Skills

• Previous experience as a Concrete Laborer or in a similar role.
• Ability to perform strenuous manual tasks.
• Proficiency in kneeling, bending, and lifting heavy materials.
• Accurate measurement skills and the ability to read specifications.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• OSHA 10 Certification is advantageous, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• This role involves frequent exposure to challenging environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and loud noises.
• Significant physical activity is required, including heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Comfort working at heights is essential.
