Job Summary:

This part time Brewer/Assistant Brewer position is responsible for supporting a variety of

daily operations of brewing, cellaring, canning and cleaning. This also includes preparation and

inventory of ingredients, necessary vessel/keg cleaning, and canning/kegging/packing of final

product. Our expectations are to maintain a neat, clean, and sanitary environment throughout the

brewing, storage, and tasting room space, which is open to the public. We are committed to creating

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 Demonstrate a clear passion for Brewing and strong work ethic

 Support our Part Time Head Brewer in the end to end brewing process, requiring several

weekly brew days, utilizing a 7bbl system and 15bbl fermentation and storage

 Support production schedules and raw material inventory and prep as well as vessel

preparation and or cellaring duties

 Explore and create new recipes with 1bbl pilot system

 Set up, maintain, and operate all essential equipment

 Monitor fermentation, identify irregularities, record data, ensure product consistency

 Manage beer transfer and aid in packaging (canning): check product for readiness, set up,

transfer and cleanup according to SOP’s.

 Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all brewing, fermenting, storage, serving equipment

 Complete all necessary testing, and paperwork accurately and on time.

 Maintain safe working practices and environment

 Communicate openly and effectively

 Act with integrity and positivity, working well both independently and with others

 Potential to host the tasting room and interact with tasting room customers (Sat/Sun)

 Flexibility to support a small but growing business, as key employee

 Other duties as needed

Required Qualifications:

 Preferrred formal brewing school degree and or three years professional brewing experience

Physical Demands:

The employee must be able to work on their feet for 8-10 hours per day. The employee is

regularly required to lift and maneuver ingredients weighing 50lb or more, climb ladders/steps, work

in close quarters, grip & manipulate large and small equipment, utilize safety equipment when

dealing with hot or caustic liquids, and occasionally lift and maneuver a kegs >125lbs.

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
